Private Pontoon Moorings

We offer private pontoon visitors' moorings in the harbour by the boatyard or up the River Yar. The moorings at the yard offer a direct link to land removing the need for expensive harbour taxis. Yarmouth town centre is just a short walk over the bridge and offers excellent pubs, sailing clubs and fine restaurants as well as a good deli, post office and supermarket. The town has a Michelin Star restaurant at the George Hotel next to Yarmouth Castle.

Yarmouth has many summer events including the Old Gaffers festival and Yarmouth Carnival and we can assure moorings in the harbour for these events if booked ahead. August is always a busy month with many visitors left only Solent moorings, so avoid missing out and contact us early with any bookings.

Up the River Yar our moorings are in an idylic estuary setting of special scientific interest and oustanding natural beauty. If you are staying longer in Yarmouth these offer great dinghy sailing exploring the many tidal creaks and the beautiful river that winds its way up to the causeway in Freshwater. On the right tide you can leave your dinghy at the causeway for lunch or supper at the award winning Red Lion Pub.
